Recently, we celebrated Chinese New Year. For the Chinese people, we would visit our relatives to share the prosperity with everyone. First thing we need to do before we enter our relative's house, we need to hold two oranges with our two hands and say"HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR" to the owner of the house, this is to tell the owner that you are here to usher this festival together. All together, I visited 3 places, my Grandmother's house, my Aunt's house and my Uncle's house. We would take this opportunity to improve our relationships with relatives that we do not get in touch with regularly. We would play games, chat and eat together. The children are given "angbaos", which is the red packet, to wish them good luck in their studies and life. Together with everyone, we would usher the Chinese New Year with the "Lou Hei". It is a food, with many varieties inside, like fish, symbolizing health. When all the side dishes are added together, everyone would pick up a pair of chopsticks , then , at a count of 3 , everyone would dip their chopsticks into the food and pull them up as high in the air as possible as a symbol of prosperity, at the same time, everyone would shout out auspicious words.
